Book Recommendations(:

I am a book nerd 🤓 Below are books that are relevant to the client's I typically work with and are books I've found helpful or valuable.

If you're a current client, please feel free to ask me if I think any of these would be great for you during this season of your life 🫶🏼

This book is 🔥fire🔥 for learning how to create new habits with easy to follow steps. This is a great motivator and helps you to combat the shame spirals as they come when we "fail" a new habit - especially if you have executive functioning issues..!

This book can be read in any order and can help you work through: Inner child work, parental wounds, trauma & the body, learning to do the work, trauma bonds, boundaries and more!

A fabulous resource for learning about epigenetics (generational trauma) and the impact of passed down anxiety/phobias, chronic pain, suicidality, depression, OCD, trauma, etc.

A book outlining the impact of intergenerational trauma passed down from mothers to daughters. Educational, validating, and healing.
Trigger Warning: This book can be emotionally intense at times.

A great resource for learning about your attachment style and how it impacts your relationships with others.

Educational and directive - this book is great for those who have grown up with emotionally immature parents and have suffered as a result of that.

A great parenting resource for navigating diet culture, body image, fatphobia, challenging stigmas, and ways to talk about food and our bodies with children.

A book written by a fellow therapist on the impact of being a daughter raised by a narcissistic mother and ways to heal the motherwound.

One of my favorite books on boundaries and how to implement them within your life.

I love this book for learning about the menstrual cycle, how it impacts menstruating individuals, and ways to care for yourself through each phase. I find it helpful for increasing mind-body connection and for working on being present with yourself.

A comprehensive and educational book on the female reproductive system, as well as topics like: PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, PMDD,  pelvic floor dysfunction, and more. Great if you didn't receive education about this!

A great read about the impact and effects of birth control on women; ranging from hormones, mood, attraction, and more.  This is a comprehensive look at women's health and the role birth control has (both "positive" and "negative") to help women be more informed about their bodies and healthcare. 💊

How to harness your strengths as an eldest daughter and cope with the impact of perfectionism, parentification, and more.

A good starting point for learning money management tips (saving, investing, debt pay off), the connection between emotions and spending, and ways to gain independence financially. 💸

A comprehensive look at C-PTSD;  great for anyone looking to learn more about it and the lasting impacts of C-PTSD.

One of my all time favorite fidgets, very satisfying texturally and holds up well.

This is a subtle and cute ring which works great for fidgeting discretely. I recommend rings like this one for those who are anxious/have social anxiety and ADHD/ASD. You can also find them on Etsy under "Russian Wedding Rings".

Cute stuffed animals you can warm up, hug, and that smell like calming Lavender. Great for calming down and helping relax you.

An ADHD-Friendly way to keep track of if you've taken your medication or not. I also like that this has a sensory engagement!
